Work Clubs

Get Ready for Work supports work clubs in Manchester and aims to provide a safe, supportive and friendly atmosphere that assists local residents in their preparation for employment, education, training or volunteering.

Our work clubs are drop-in sessions, meaning you don't need to make an appointment and you're able to attend as many times as you need to. The work clubs run by Get Ready for Work are independent of JobCentre Plus; attending the work club is beneficial to your search for work but you can choose to come to the work club.

What happens at a Work Club?

At the work club you have access to IT and the skills and the knowledge of staff and volunteers who are there to support you in your search for work, volunteering, training or education. Get Ready for Work staff members and volunteers are able to help you set up an email, Universal Credit, sign up for job search websites like Indeed and CV Library, make referrals for financial or legal advice and sign-post to courses and training and volunteer opportunities and much more.
